Dear So and So...

Dear Spotty
Who knew that chicken pox could suck so much,
Sorry you've had such a rough time!
Love you brave man,
Mummy x

Dear all in Turkey
You've had a hellish time recently :(
So sorry for your losses after the earthquake,
Here is hoping you can now rebuild (physical things) now and at least be able to have a roof you can call your own.
Her who is grateful everyday

Dear Weekend
I will cherish you dearly this week.
You see, I remember what happened in November and December work-wise last year.
I'll miss you when the busy times come so intend to make the most of you until then!
The Weekend-holic

Dear George
I was all sympathetic until you adopted that whingy-whiny wailing noise every time I picked up the phone or attempted to actually do anything.
I'm so glad you are better now.
I do hope you enjoy Nursery today,
I will!
Mummy who gags at the smell of camomile lotion and is knackered x

Dear Special K

Natalie who is feeling super healthy!

Happy Belated Birthday... To US!

This weekend marked our third birthday. Three years! In some ways it seems to have been just yesterday when PP was born and in other ways, we can't remember life without it. Over the past few years there are been many new products, we have opened up to offer items for wholesale and best of all have been able to welcome new and "old" customers back time and time again.

PreciousParcels wouldn't be what she is if it wasn't for the support of you lovely lot. Those who regularly visit the Facebook page, who say hi and share the love on Twitter, and all of you that read this blog... thank you!

We also love the fact that some of you have taken the extra time to revisit the site and leave feedback in our guestbook. I wish we could publish all the emails and Facebook comments we get because each one means such a lot.

So, before we get all emotional and weepy.. thanks again folks, and here's to the next three years!!

Dear George
I appreciate I may look a little rough on these cold and dark mornings but not so rough (I hope) that I look like a donkey.
Get off my back, no I won't give you another ride!
Mummy x

Dear All Who Are Talking About Half-Term
Please stop. At the moment George is still in nursery so it doesn't make any difference to me now but hearing about it reminds me that this time next year George will be a big grown up school-boy and having his first half-term.
Her who feels slightly panicked by how quick this is coming around.

Dear Treadmill
Who's the Mummy!
Who's the Mummy!
Yes, I am - and I am kicking your arse!
Love her who is feeling good

Dear Weather
Her who is tight and doesn't want to keep putting the heating on x

Dear Readers
You are still here?

Dear So and So 14/10/11

Dear So and So...

Dear Nicki
I will see you on Sunday.
We will drink tea out of china cups and indulge in civilised chat.
Have you told the local police when we are arriving yet?
Can't wait!
Natalie x

Dear George
My bedroom window sill is higher than your head.
How the hell are you managing to climb up on it.
And more to the point, don't you know it scares me silly.
Stop it!
Love Mummy who doesn't fancy an afternoon in A&E xxxx

Dear Everyone on FB
Stop telling me how close to Christmas it is.
I am freaked out enough.
Her who will do her shopping on Xmas Eve x

Dear George
You have such a sinister laugh. Seriously, it gives people goosebumps.
Seeing as you are too young for a paper-round I'm thinking of hiring you out as a Halloween prop.
What do you think?
Love Mummy

Dear Reader
I love that so many of you read my ramblings!
Thank you!
There will be loads of new bits and piece over the next few weeks as Christmas is fast approaching so stayed tuned!
Natalie x

What do you do with their pictures?

I love it when George creates something (clearly he is going to be a renowned world-class artist). He paints, crayons and draws... a lot. Nursery are great and send his brilliant pieces of art home for me to admire.

This is why I ended up with a cupboard full of drawings. A big cupboard. A while back I decided I needed a better system. This is where the Masterpiece Plaque comes in!

Now I display one at a time (rather than 30,000) and when that one comes down I decide whether it is one of the 5-6 a month I save or whether it is to be recycled. It's a good system, tidier and George loves seeing his work up for everyone to see.

The blue plaque has a working peg, paint splash details and is finished with brown twine and blue gingham ribbon. It's a definite space saver for our house and a lovely feature.
This plaque is also available in pink if requested, and is just £8.95.

So, do you have a system for sharing and saving or are you like I was, floundering under masses of paper!?

Autumn Baking Fun!

We love baking! George and I have great fun creating new treats (and eating them!). It's because of our love of all things messy that these hook and peg plaques were born.

These plaques are fully customisable so are perfect for keys, towel, aprons... whatever you need them for. Trust me, it is always good to have an apron close at hand when George picks up the flour container!

Each plaque is handpainted white with 3-colour polka dots and matching wooden hearts. You choose whether you want brass hooks or wooden pegs.
Each plaque measures 15cm x 10cm and they cost £9.95

If like us you are a baking fan, make sure you have a nosy at our personalised baking kits, great for use at home and as a gift.

Available in red, blue, yellow and green each personalised baking kit contains:
A cotton bag with cupcake design (21 x 26cm)
Rolling pin
Wooden spoon
Pastry brush
Chopping board
25 cake cases
And a personalised wooden star

All for just £7.95.

No excuses now not to bake yourselves up some lovely autumn treats!

Dear So and So

Dear So and So...

Dear Steve Jobs
Simply... Thank you!
Not just for the technology but the recent inspiration too.
Her whose iPhone never leaves her side.
Rest in peace x

Dear Claustrophobia
Hahaa!!! Kiss my a$$!
Nice try sucker!
Her stuck in a lift who couldn't care less :)

Dear all the people who tell me that now George is 4yrs old he will shoot up.
Poke off!
Her in denial
(And yes Nicki, that includes you!)

Dear Weather
Make your blinking mind up!
You are as indecisive as a young teenage girl with her crushes!
Pick one, stick with it.
(Not to try and influence your decision but that hot spell was quite nice, thanks).

Dear Pets
Traditionally the humans are the masters.
Not the Guinea pigs.
I understand I forgot to explain this to you but I'm telling you now.
Just so you know,
Her who is going to bankrupt herself with gourmet pet food.

Dear Self
When your best friend tells you that it IS possible to lick your own elbow if you practice enough... she is taking the mick.
Think of a suitable way to get her back asap.
And do not admit on the internet that you did in fact practice.
For ages!

Postage Peeves

Personally, one of my biggest pet peeves is how much it costs to send anything or have it delivered. Postage costs have gone up and up (with few changes to the actual service!) and to be honest if I'm ordering something for George or myself I balk at handing over money that in truth could have bought something else.

I know that even with the postal charges getting higher, it does usually work out cheaper to buy online than drive anywhere to shop and have to pay for parking too.

As a Mum I understand how irritating it is to feel you are paying much more for an item than it's "tag" price. It's because of this that we have held the price of our P&P at just £1.95. Precious Parcels is about special things, beautiful things and fun things. It's not about making a profit on postage charges. Regardless of the size of your order you will only pay £1.95 for standard delivery. Considering the price of delivery, and packaging materials we think that this is a good deal.
We want you to enjoy your purchases, not resent how much you've had to pay for them!

Have you ever received a small gift, just because. I have and it's a lovely feeling!

At PreciousParcels we cater for all the big occasions, birthday's, anniversaries, christenings and weddings. We also have some lovely small gifts when just a little something does the job. Be it a "Thank you", a "you really are great!", a "Well done!", an "I love you" or "I miss you"; we have something to help you say it.

The beauty of personalised gifts are  that they are just that, personal. You can say what you want to whom you want. These are some of our favourite personal Just Because gifts.

"You're a star". Currently just £3.50
A variety of Poem Parcels each with a different message, £4.95
Personalised wooden heart £3.95
