Back to School & the Parties Begin

My dear friend Nicki, within two days of taking her eldest back to school received no fewer than three birthday party invitations. George has just started school and although we haven't had any yet  Nicki has warned me they are coming, and they will come en-masse. Nicki's problem is not the actual party itself but finding something suitable for the present.

Apparently present buying for class mates can be something of a nightmare. Not every child that invites her son is well known by her so she has no idea what current fad he or she is into. On top of that all of the usual full-proof ideas (Lego, games) can be a minefield in themselves as you don't know what the child already has.

Fortunately for Nicki, and other parents, we can help. Our baking kits are fully personalised, made to last (no plastic rubbish here) and it is very unlikely to be a duplicate gift. Each kit contains a cotton bag with cupcake design (21cm x 26cm), a rolling pin, wooden spoon, pastry brush, spatula, chopping board, 25 cake cases and of course, a personalised star. Available in 4 different colours and priced at just £7.95 these kits make an ideal birthday party gift which won't break the bank.

The only question that remains is.... will I get away with giving these to George's new school friends too, seeing as I've made them??

The Gallery - 8pm

Autumn / Winter 8pm

Summer 8pm

Not wonderful photography to be fair but the whole point of taking pictures as far as I'm concerned is to capture something, and these two perfectly capture my seasonal 8pm activities!

Autumn Cuddles

Whether you are a summer person or love the autumn, you can't deny that there is nothing quite like curling up snug against the warmth. For us grown ups there are sloppy oversized jumpers, fluffy dressing gowns,  thick socks, curling up in front of the fire and enjoying a warming class of something....warming.
For the little ones there are teddy bears, extra blankets and of course the special cushion.

A friend of mine once told me about her son who is now 6 years old, and how his comforter was a cushion. It was a one-off scatter cushion that she had bought and from being very young he adored it. He would fall asleep with it on the sofa, played with it in the playpen, always cuddled it if he was unwell and to this day it still lives on his bed. He calls it his comfy cuddle cushion.

A cushion makes a great addition to a bedroom, be it on the bed, in a reading chair or corner, or even dragged about all over the house and these personalised cuddle cushions, perfect for decoration or snuggling up with now autumn has arrived are just the thing.

Available in a variety of colours and designs, for just £18.95 each your children can own their own special cuddle cushion. For more details visit the cushion page on the website.

Nearly Four

Next month Precious Parcels turns four years old. Where has the time gone? In that time we have gone from selling a few plaques on Ebay to shipping a wide variety of handmade gifts and treats around the world.
It has been an extremely busy time for us but we've loved every minute and we are looking forward to the next four years!

Precious Parcels started back when my son George was small and has become a second child of sorts! I love the feedback that comes back when people receive their orders and the work never gets tedious as we make so many different items, most of which are bespoke and personalised.

We have plans for the next few years and hope to welcome new items onto the website but one thing won't change and that is our commitment to producing top quality items for our much loved customers. After all guys, without you, there wouldn't be a business!

This may have been taken a few years ago now but we are still smiling and loving the work that we do!
As part of our 4 year anniversary we will be hosting a big give-away once we reach 2500 likes on our Facebook page (not far off now) so do share our page with your friends and family and keep an eye out to be in for a chance to win.

Hanging Pretty

Our personalised hanging wooden blocks have become increasingly popular since they were added to the site over a year ago. Feedback from happy customers has shown us that they have been given as christening gifts, new baby gifts, have been used for decorating nurseries, playrooms and bedrooms and are frequently given as birthday gifts.

The majority of grown up boys and girls (i.e. over 2 years old) who can recognise their own name seem to love personalised items. It apparently makes them feel very big and special to have their name up for everyone to see and these hanging blocks are a novel way of doing this.

The name appears on all four sides of the blocks and the end 4.5cm by 4.5cm block is painted cream and finished with a heart or a star. The end blocks are included in the price therefore if have the perfect recipient in mind for one these in blue or pink, you only need to select and pay for the letter blocks you have chosen.

There are many hanging items on the site, primarily plaques, but these hanging blocks could well be our favourite item this month! Have a nosy on the website for these and other pretty hanging decorations.

Potty About Plates

We expected our range of plates to be popular last year (mainly because they are so cute!) but had no idea just how much people would like them, especially at this time of year!

We have three main categories of plates on offer, Christmas plates, New Baby plates and Celebration plates. All plates measure 23cm in diameter and cost £19.95.

You can see why the Xmas plates have been a big hit can't you? All of our plates are personalised so can include any message, time, date or name that you require.

Just two of our hand-painted plates that are perfect for giving as a gift.

And last but not least...

We have a range of celebration plates!

If you have an event coming up and are looking for a personalised and top quality gift then you needn't look any further. To see the full plate range and the other many handmade treats available, visit the website.

Ding Dong Merrily On High

Sorry all, but the Precious Parcels Christmas season has arrived! We are always very busy at this time of the year which has turned out to be a godsend this year as my "baby" has started school so you are all already keeping me buried under Christmas ribbon so I don't have to think about where the past few years have gone to!

This week we have been inundated with orders for our Christmas items as people are getting organised early this year, and I may or may not have already had the Christmas music on (much to the amusement of everyone else at PP HQ)  to get us in the Christmas mood.

These hanging Merry Christmas plaques look set to again fly off the shelves, as they were so popular last year and look like they may be heading the same way again this Christmas. These distresses effect plaques with lovely decoupage hanging stockings, 3D holly, red gingham ribbon and a raffia hanging bow measure 15cm by 10cm and cost £10.95 each.

To see more about this plaque and the many other Christmas items we are offering this Xmas make sure you check out the Christmas section of the website.

Personalised Christmas Stars - £4.50 each
